"Voting doesn't matter" is the stupidest myth I continue to encounter. Voting matters A LOT, which is why certain political parties try to restrict it as heavily as they can.

Every election cycle, monied interests spend billions and billions of dollars on ads alone to influence as many voters as possible for a reason. They know the power of a vote, and spend their vast resources accordingly. Pretending voting doesn't matter makes you a useful idiot at best.

You’re right. Run a progressive in a democrat primary and all of the sudden Dems care very much about winning and will spend millions to bury you and ensure the establishment candidate wins.

It doesn't because regardless of which candidate you vote in, American imperialism keeps on moving, reality has shown us this. Obama had record breaking drone strikes, Biden had record breaking deportations, every politician in power is nothing but a scapegoat, paid handsomely and even promised wonderfully paid positions in the companies they support. And if you think Trump is the reason for the collapse and restructuring of the American empire, then you don't understand geopolitics. It's just easier to get the spin to work if the people feel like they're being listened to, that democracy works, so it's better to fudge those numbers and gerrymander (which is legal) to make things smooth, but things move in the same direction regardless, just with different degrees of friction.

This is what's gonna happen: either Trump remains in power because Americans think protests and SNL skits are working strategies against the abuse of the capitalist class/the Republicans and things move smoothly, or the Democrats do some sort of coup or are supported by the same institutions and financial groups of interest that supported Trump into power, that rescues the nation from Trump whilst largely continuing the same policies, in and outside the country, whilst the population feels like they finally defeated that one monster behind everything (lol). This all depends on analytics, on think tank papers, one way or another power will continue moving and by now, with white supremacy on one hand and Democrat anger on the other, this has never been easier. And we'll do it all over again in some years time!
