The Foundation couldn't stop her from doing this, and as far as they're concerned, it's still hers. Physical possession is symbolic, and she knew it would get him to calm down. Cynical? Yes. But it if works...
My issue is that Macahdo should never have got the award in the first place, Trump now possessing it adds insult to injury. The Foundation should be ashamed of what they did.
Why? At the time she was a persecuted activist challenging a dictator. That's right up their alley.
