Are you not supporting American indie developers either? I completely understand not wanting to deal with the corporations.
Nope trying not to siphoned money to the south at all. I've cancelled podcast subscriptions since this has happened.
If their taxes go to the Trump controlled IRS, then a portion of their money goes to ICE's ever increasing budget.
I'm not interested in funding any of that.
If it feeds their economy, that’s a reason to avoid it. If it feeds our economy, that’s a reason to support it.
The community is called "Buy Canadian", so it's about buying Canadian.
I get what you mean by "not wanting to deal with the corporations" but If they have a name, they are likely a Corporation. It's like saying you don't want to drink chemicals, but everything you drink is chemicals, even water.
It's basically 50/50 if they're a Drumpf supporter or fascist in general, and the smart ones won't reveal their politics, so I'm not taking that chance.
Maybe we aren't, or maybe we just want to support Canadian indie developers more. Do you have a problem with that? Do we really need to get into that here? One of the advantages of living in a mostly free country is that we alone get to decide how to spend our own money according to our own preferences, without persecution whether anyone else thinks its acceptable or politically appropriate or not.
If American indie developers are losing money from boycotts, maybe they should pause making games for a little while, since boycotts are making that profession somewhat less profitable for them right now. Instead, if they want the boycotts to end so they can go back to making games, maybe for now they could go start working on toppling their fascist, expansionist, tyrannical government before it conquers any more countries, especially ours.
