My trusty Dillon 550B has been serving me well for 9mm for well over a decade now and it cost me a heck of a lot less that $10k. Reloading never felt like a slog.
Once in a while I just go to it and pump out 200 rounds in 15 minutes and it costs me about half of what it would have cost me to buy value quality ammo. The value used to be better when primers were more affordable but it's still good.
Do you shoot 9mm exclusively in 1200 RPM mag dumps out of a MAC-11 or something?
Just comparing it to buying a 1000 round case. I usually shoot around 200 rounds a session which I think is fairly modest, so that's 5 outings, not a whole lot if you shoot regularly.
I may need to take another look at getting into it now that I have more room for it. I bought an RCBS single stage kit just in time for components to disappear while Obama was in office. Never pursued it further.
