Not nothing but I think the governor knows that the National Guard wouldn't follow his orders to interfere.

Then he must have some power to punish them no? Maybe threaten them with dishonorable discharge or aomething?

Did the governor of Arkansas have any power to punish the national guardsman that protected little black kids from going to school in his state? If he couldn't do it what makes you think Tim Waltz could?
