If Ameri-cunts weren't so self-absorbed and narrow minded, they could do the same.

General strike is one year overdue.

Citizens are literally being shot in the face in the middle of a street and they're still not doing much more than marching in the streets to "protest" and issuing "slamming" statements on social media.

They still haven't learned from their no kings march that it has absolutely zero effect on the current administration. Trump will just create a new AI vid of him taking a shit on all the "protesters" and move on to bomb another country or fuck another child.

What's that saying - repeating the same actions and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity.

The people who would make a difference striking are those that literally can't afford to do so. People are already turning to food banks when they're making as much money as they're able to.

Those of us who have enough of a financial cushion to take time off of work don't have any example of how doing so would matter, or how it would do anything but cause themselves more of a future inconvenience.

Let's say for example a dentists office joins the strike, what impact has it made other than overbook them after the strike ends? There is no structure to organize something on the scale that is needed to make an impact, no method of communication between people that can be trusted and wouldn't put a target on them to be labeled as dissidents. There is no figurehead attempting to organize a general strike. There was no meaningful media coverage of the largest protest marches in US history.

Everybody I know wants to do something more, but doesn't have an example of how to do it in a country so geographically spread out. I live in California, going to DC is a 5 hour plane flight and would also require a hotel stay. Even driving to my state capital is an 8 hour car trip (or a 13 hour disjointed series of alternating busses and trains).

Right?

It's all "oh but if we get violent, he'll impose martial law and they'll be kicking in doors, arresting us at home, and shooting us in the street" as if it's not already literally fucking happening.

And if that's your take, why the fuck aren't you doing the next best thing? Instead they dress up in costumes and hold signs, as if that'll do anything ever. "Oh it's okay, we're going to flip the midterms and it'll be fine without me having to suffer even the slightest"
