No you cannot, though some manufacturers like to say so.
The grips are neutral, but the blades are righty.
Pick up some scissors and open them like you're cutting something. You'll see the top blade on the right and the bottom on the left. Because you're holding them in your right hand the bottom/left blade is closer to you. This gives you a clear view of the cutting line of whatever you're cutting. Even if you flip them it's still true.
For a lefty this line is blocked by the top blade.
Lefty scissors have the blades reversed. Try a pair sometime. It's doable but not pleasant.
