No one is celebrating Kirk's murder. Pointing out that the world is better off without him is not celebrating the act that ended him.

It's pointing out how awful a person he was, and how his contributions to the world were a net negative, by his own choices.

I would have preferred he removed himself from the world by becoming a different person. Or choking on a hot dog, at least.
