Diazepam, aka Valium, is an older anxiolytic
OP is implying that they are done with taking meds mentioned above, but when offered Valium, a benzodiazepine class anxiolytic known for helping people sleep, OP is all for it.

Apparently it’s very easy to become dependent on it, so… idk. I can’t imagine not being able to sleep cause you can’t renew a prescription.

That’s why I stick to good old fashioned remedies like 5 or 6 beers. You surely won’t regret drinking 5 or 6 beers to sleep at night.
