There's about 5 different angles where you can clearly see the dude getting out of his car, walking to her car, and then murdering her instead of just stepping half a step back. He was never in danger.

No one gets to walk in front of a car and then murder someone because they could run over them
He manufactured the situation where he claimed he was in fear for his life. He had every opportunity to not be in that position.
