For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.
Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Are SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla, PayPal, OpenAI... frauds?
Do you know well enough to diagnose him a "malignant narcissist" or are you just consuming too much political media that paints him as evil?
A company that only exists on government subsidies and it's spin off, a company he bought and installed himself as "founder" of, a company that his company was acquired by and quickly sunsetted, and a company he's trying to compete with? Yeah, I'd say he's a fraud.
Possibly, yes, yes, not his, yes.

What do you mean by fraudulent? That the company is a scam, or he shouldn't have power? I don't think you know what "fraud" means.
No dude, you don't know what "fraud" means. Calling someone a fraud does not mean you're literally accusing the person of the crime of fraud, even though he almost certainly has done that. It means you're saying they lied and cheated to get where they are, which every rational person can now tell he did. SpaceX having a successful launch isn't a fraud, Elon taking any credit for it is.
Hmm so the CEO who runs the company, is involved in every hiring decision, who directs his own organization, who's been building SpaceX up from the ground since 2002, who works 12+ hours a day and weekends.... is a fraud.
