I've just preordered a Pebble Time 2. Never owned a Pebble before, and no real smart wath either (just a fitness watch).

I chose Pebble because of the Open Source concept.

Do you have any advice on what I can/should do, what software/apps are must-haves, or other Tipps?

If you use Tasker, I recommend autopebble as #1, as it provides customization and pretty much covers a large swathe of separate apps. Musicboss is #2, for playing music and audiobooks with a handy controller. From there, it kinda breaks down into what strikes your fancy. Sports, games, news, navigation, tools, etc. are all available.
