My producer, Neigsendoig, and I loved using novelWriter. However, we instead made the switch to Obsidian with the Longform plugin. It's nice once you understand how it works for writers.
Nice, I considered using Joplin as my writing tool this time around since I use it as my note-taking application, however I decided that I didn't want to use the same tool for my notes and my creative process. I have a different approach when it comes to different types of writing.
I'd be happy to do something with Obsidian if you're interested. I have a setup that works for me, which is local-first (Joplin is local-first, so I get it), especially since I tend to use local-first software. Same with Sendo (Neigsendoig) as well.
There's a good chance the two of us might not go pen and paper for a while.
I looked at Obsidian some years ago, and it really just didn't fit the way I work. When I found Joplin I got it set up so I have it everywhere (desktop, laptop, phone, tablet, etc.) with everything being secured and in my control...(ie, I don't use any third-party syncing service).
So, I think I'll just keep it the way I have it now, and use NovelWriter for working on my book(s).
novelWriter is a fantasic application, so I don't blame you for that.
