It's not really that far from the stereotypes
Women are attracted to things like wealth and stability which generally get better as men age because they want someone who can take care of them
Men have an unlimited supply of baby making material but women can only do 1 baby per 9 months (and even then depending what year you're in (say 100,000 years ago up until 200 years ago) the quality of healthcare wasn't great and child mortality was high) so men prioritise women who are healthier and younger in order to prioritise the chances of a young healthy baby being born and the mother living. Shame on men eh?

I guess saying that women 35 and over are geriatric was hurting some feelings 😅
That sort of evolutionary-biology approach can explain why men are all attracted to women of the same age, but it fails to explain why women aren't all attracted to men of the same age. Even if women don't have to be as selective with regard to age because men's fertility doesn't decline the way that women's does, there should still be an absolute ideal age at which a man is most capable of being a good mate.
