TV Review.

Cousin asked me to sit with her and watch Bookish, a newish BBC period detective series

watching I was, "Gees, that's just like all the places I used to hang out in Brussels ". Well, I looked it up, it was filmed in those places, lol.

Actually, I don't like this series, I think it's structure is confusing. There is no one to be the eyes and ears for the audience. Mystery is nice, don't get me wrong, but in a detective show the mystery is the crime. Introduce us to the characters and then if the main character is meant to be a mystery too then let another character learn about them.

also, the crime mystery is very very easy to figure ( tho not for cousin )

This is written by Gattis, maybe he's just messing about with new things 🤷‍♀️

so thinking, the mystery is "who is Book and his wife and why are they doing what they do" rather than the crimes

still, I think they messed up the POV
