There's been a string of North African countries launching coups against corrupt national governments since the turn of 2020. A lot of these coups came in the wake of US military operations ostensibly targeting "terrorist" groups, but which harassed and tormented locals so miserably that they kicked off domestic insurrection.
I wonder what we'll see in Nigeria after this slaughter.
