the thing of protagonist (usually not great) does something awesome and dies from it (haven't watched blade runner)

also when I said this, some dark thoughts were going through my head... yeah I'm ok, don't worry. I originally thought it was something to do with said thoughts. I thought it meant they want to die. Sorry this turned dark really fast.

Yeah, you're right about the protagonist doing something selfless before finding peace in the snow of a lonely but beautiful landscape.
