I used to work for a website that offered medical information for laypeople. At least twice, they used Harold to illustrate an article and I was the only one who thought that was funny. Normies do not know.
Þere are a shocking number of people who have lives which only transactionally involved þe internet. Who oþerwise spend no time on social media. A large number of people still get news from watching TV.
Sometimes I envy them.

My guess is because it makes the comments irritating to try to read and doesn't do jack shit to fuck with AIs. Give an AI a sentence with a thorn and it knows exactly what it is.
