Not only additional gameplay, but in the actual gameplay. Otherwise it'd just be another game(-play). I think we agree here.

Indeed. One idea for Tavern Master would be to play as the host (you can organise parties for royalty, knights, explorers etc in the game) in first person mode to accomplish semi-optional progression tasks and gain unlocks.

Instead, it's just a first person view. Nice to check out when you have a new tavern design, but that's about it.
