Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.
There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.
6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.
7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

By the way, duck brand duct tape is pretty good stuff. Much better than that off brand crap. I've also had good results with Ace hardware brand duct tapes, but honestly if the budget permits, gorilla glue brand all the way.

I have a 4" filter for mine and it's an awkward size so I usually have to order online but I have gotten by with a normal 1 inch thick combined with those cut your own green types.

Good sir, you appear have confused me with a homeowner, or perhaps HVAC technician.
Best I've managed is getting a HEPA filter of... I don't remember the grade or dimensions...
... and duct taping it to a 'mobile' AC unit, so.as to attempt to avoid dying from the PNW Heatdome and also WildfireSmokeDome, from a few years back.
(We don't usually have AC units in apartments around there... because... up untill literally that Heatdome... you didn't really need them.)
... I do remember using Duck brand duct tape for this though.
I'm not currently dead, so, it probably wasn't the worst choice, lol.
Nice. I live in northern California so we have ac units usually but not used all the time. I would recommend the HEPA filter for sure, helps with the wildfire smoke. However, with that heat and such you might want to use the adhesive foil tape. It withstands temperature swings and doesn't break down.
Central heat and air units have filters that need replacing every month or few depending on usage. If you ever do need one be sure to get a quality filter. It makes a difference for sure. Especially in areas like ours with lots of smoke and stuff.

Yeah we used thermal blankets, in reverse, to bounce away as much radiance as possible, on all the windows, then blackout curtains behind that.

Shit whatever works. I actually bought some of that reflective window stuff for my office since I sit by the window. Works great. I mean it's only me in the office and I could sit anywhere but I like the window. Sacramento gets stupid hot in the summer. I think I got like 50ft of that stuff for about $5. Sticks on with just water. I highly recommend it.
