Yeah, and to whom was the gesture that second time, the flag? My heart goes out to the flag? Makes no sense. Nazi salute the flag? Makes perfect sense.

I thought so too. Turns out there were people sitting all around him. I think this was a stadium. So first he did a salut to the people front, then to the people back.
