No, this is not how cat are. The internet has a different headcanon because people usually misinterpret them and create memes and videos based on that. They'll either expect dog behavior or misattribute human intention. Cats have a completely different body language.
I encourage everyone watch real cat behavior videos and observe cats closely and without judgement.
I have a cat. Granted she loves food, but cats knock things over ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
