I noticed something about crossposts and I'm curious if anything should happen differently with a very minor aspect of it.

I saw a post in one community and crossposted it to a different one (using Voyager given the current limitations with cross posting image/discussion posts and apparently PieFed still works to track comments from both posts, which is awesome!).

OP has since responded to comments in both the original post as well as in the one that I crossposted. However, in the crossposted post, OP from the original post does not appear as OP. In a way this makes sense because someone else is responsible for cross posting it there. However, I'm wondering if there should be some sort of label appearing in this particular case. Maybe something like "X-OP"?

that’s what you mean - the link is not enough, it would require a db lookup?
