So this is meant for running android games under steam?
Or are they going in a different direction. Perhaps mobile linux?

Edit: This is the translation layer used on the steam frame.
To be clear, the Steam Frame will run SteamOS. It will use this to run Meta Quest (and a couple other headsets) game ports. Those devices run Android and their games are APKs.
You’re right, I was thinking this was a fork of Android but this is what proton is for windows games but for APKs
