The Colorado Avalanche are doing quite well right now. Top of the league and I think they have a 10 game win streak going on right now, or something like that.
Of course it's a long season, and we're only a little past a quarter of the way through. The year the Blues won the Cup, they were not doing great going into January. Similarly, the year the Caps won it, no one really expected them to be contenders that year.
The Oilers and the Panthers (last year's Cup finalists, which the Panthers won) aren't doing as well as you might expect right now - but a lot of playoff success is getting hot at the right time.
The hockey gods giveth and the hockey gods taketh.
Colarado looks like a really good team to watch while I'm learning the game thanks! Really appreciate the pointers thanks
I recently looked through every team community and found that the Caps are the only ones that post game day threads for each game. Now generally it's just me and one other mod commenting, so it's not crazy busy, but if you do watch a Caps game and want info on something that happens in it, feel free to ask. We generally watch or go to every game.
Unfortunately the exceptions are the games you're most likely to be watching, like tomorrow's game against the Kings, because it starts at 10:30 at night here, and my wife has to get up early, and I can't stay awake that late anyway.
Is that !caps@lemmy.world
Yep!
Followed thanks!
