Seams like a classic case of driving while tired. If you had a stressfull night in the hospital you probibly should get a taxi home or wait till there is another grownup to take you home. The bar for lenancy was cooperation with the gardi. Like why she is legally required to be. The bar is in the gutter. This case is just sad all round.

Or, you know, we could have functioning public transport services instead of expecting people to drive or be driven almost everywhere.
