My wife didn't completely believe how my family treated me growing up. She just couldn't comprehend the level of assholeness.

So I took her to Christmas with my family once. That's all it took. She quickly realized that I was barely mentioning some of the larger things they had done. I wasn't even mentioning all the smaller things.
