This reminds me of 20 years ago, when every single website required its own comments section. I’m still annoyed that I had to vehemently argue the obvious.
Then they came to their senses “oh yeah, spammers are annoying and hard to stop, maybe we shouldn’t try to do it everywhere ourselves.”
This time will be different I’m sure.
