There's gyros in the US.
One is Greek and one is Turkish. I believe there is a difference in seasonings and meat choices.
Plus, döner meat is usually cut off a roasting spit right in front of the customers' eyes, which I understand is vital to the experience.
We've also got schwarma, which is basically Arabic döner. And there's donairs in canada.
Not quite the same. Similar ingredients but wrapped in a much more drunk friendly way.
