I mean, I definitely noticed that the colored rangers were stereotypically assigned in the most racist and misogynist way. Even as a kid, we all thought it was messed up that the black and yellow rangers were black and Asian. Also, I heard much later about the homophobia and general toxicity of the production.

It just never occurred to me that it was the White Power Ranger. Especially when you consider that the show was a retread of a Japanese show that was several seasons behind, so they knew when they named them the Power Rangers that they would have a Black Power Ranger and a White Power Ranger.
