Your post is silly.

I might have found out about this specific pageant from this story, but I know beauty pageants exist. I also knew about ALL the other stuff before the things you claim made them famous.

I've known about the Eurovision contest for decades. I first heard about it on the 70s, when ABBA won it. And I knew about the Oscars long before Chris Rock got slapped.

Just because you're ignorant, doesn't mean everyone else is.

Yeah, they were famous back then for their own thing, I'm just amazed at how easily people are "bullied" into caring about something like a beauty pegeant.
