this is exacerbated by (mostly new) marxists not using theory for it's proper purpose; as a toolkit to formulate your own analysis and instead as a kind of "holy text" with quotes from long dead revolutionaries used to support tenuously related points

if you rely on others to do your thinking for you, it will not be surprising if you get taken in by frauds
