I've hidden this post at 6 upvotes but somehow it's at 80 now. @dessalines@lemmy.ml does hiding posts now work? It still says it's hidden

Hiding a post removes it from your view in most places. It does not affect anyone else — only your perspective. If you want it gone, your best bet is just to delete it or edit it with new context (e.g., that the situation has changed) and leave it.
