That's because real sativas are almost extinct. Modern hybrids, even if they claim to be sativa dominant, all make you tired.
I recently grew some 80s Durban Poison from Khalifa Genetics (not the modern hybridized "Durban Poison" from Dutch Passion) and it's very energetic
Precisely. It’s very difficult to find old school landrace genetics now, and all the hybrids readily available in your average dispensary do feel quite similar.
