It was a HUGE fucking deal. Literally all the media talked about. Leader of the free world getting blowjobs from an intern. And remember, "the media" did not include social media (early consumer Internet was barely a thing) it just meant the major networks ABC, CBS, NBC and the major newspapers NYT and a few others.
