I think you're misremembering. They did say you could sideload APKs but nothing about them being distributed in the Steam store.
i edited it to have the link but no they specifically said android vr game apks will be able to be put on steam
Hmm, you were kinda right. They said "might". Thanks for that tidbit.
that quote is about steam being able to put android apps available on google android phones, they do plan to have android games on steam but it seems like not android apps themselves although people could get aurora store anyway i suppose.
