Started the next book in Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series, Cold Days

Since it's the 14th book in the series, I can't say much about it without spoiling what happened in the previous books, but things have become very interesting. Though, the more the things change, the more they stay the same, Harry is still out of his depth, and stakes are still sky high.

What about all of you? What have you been reading or listening to lately?

I literally just finished The Shining. Somehow I missed this one in the past, but it was a really good read.

I’m also about 1/2 through The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck by Mark Manson. Ironically, I’m reading it in the midst of a long trip and it’s giving me a lot of things to contemplate.

I have yet to read The Shining too! For a long time I thought I have read it, but then recently found out that I was confusing it with The Stand, so should pick it up some day now.

I have heard mixed things about Mark Manson's book, would love to hear what you think about it.

Hello! Finished the book and found it pretty interesting. I like the idea of changing your perspective and thinking about what you really care about.

I’m in a bit of a midlife crisis and this ended up hitting pretty close to home. In fact, I took a large chunk of time off to do some traveling and contemplate what I want.

It really got me thinking about how much I don’t want to continue working in tech, being super burnt out, and actually do something I want to gives fucks about.

I was also disappointed to find out “With great power, comes great responsibility” was from Spider-Man haha

What did you think?

Hey, I am going through a bit of midlife crisis too! It's pretty mild as far as there crisis go though.

I haven't read the book yet, have been thinking about it, that is why asked your opinion. Going to check it out.

As for “With great power, comes great responsibility”, it's a super famous line for anyone who know about Spider-Man, didn't know he had that in the book 😀
