I was asking earnestly. I don't know how being compelled to work.. works. I wasn't sure if it was under threat of something other than being fired. My only context was "being forced to work". I thought I'd made that clear with my previous comment.

I wasn't suggesting that work is slavery or that under normal conditions they are slaves. I was merely speculating on the limited knowledge I had. Hence why I asked.
