I love that the Dude later goes to this guy's performance (I'm not sure what it was) so he's cool with the rent being late. It's just a little mini-story that doesn't really need to be there, but adds to the world of the Dude.

I thought they were talking about Walter's plan to confront the kid that stole the Dude's car by calmly explaining what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps.

But yes, they did go to the In'N'Out Burger afterwards.
