I realise my comment seemed sarcastic - it's not, I'm being genuine; this desperate corporate grasping is so infuriating.
It's like they feel threatened that any amateur could do analysis and offer a better product in that field than they could.
Old, grey-haired, boomer businessmen who are scared of people actually working to create things rather than just resting on a monopoly.

the behavior is obviously bullshit. large companies are nearly always headed by opportunistic people who are either full blown narcissistic personality disordered or at least have a good amount of symptoms ya know? rat fuckin bastards.
