Me when I make a post on the blog I own about the reason I changed the name of the free software I make (I'm manufacturing publicity for literally no reason because this software isn't monetized)
Clout chasing have you ever seen the influencers videotaping helping the homeless. Just do it and shut up about it. You could have just changed the final to any other f word in ya brain nobody would ever know. "False-virtue" would have been a good choice.
You know you can just say "yeah, I overreacted. It's perfectly reasonable for someone to write a post on their blog about why they changed the name of the software they develop. I was having a bad day, and shouldn't have taken it out on LGFae."
And instead you're tripling down and calling it clout chasing. He didn't post this on tiktok with #viral in the description. He didn't contact a news agency to report on this decision. He wrote a journal entry on his personal website, and one of his readers shared it on this community because some of us give a shit about the people who write the software we use
