My previously favorite influencer was exposed for harassing women, including one minor. He went to a psych yard for a couple of months under the guise of the distress it caused him, but considering that when he came back he posted a victim blaming apology, I think it was actually BS.

But after that victim blaming apology, everyone seems to have forgiven him, to the point of saying it was all false allegations. Everybody is treating him as the "golden good boy" as before, as if he apologized for something he didn't do, and blamed women for something that didn't happen.

I know it is not the exact same situation as the post asks about, but it reminded me of this, and I needed to vent.
