Good stuff, but i can imagine that reddit sabotage posts about reddit alternatives so they don't get enough views.
Better post this guide somewhere else too.
Not sure if there is any point in just posting the guide somewhere random.
Perhaps it would be best to reach out to the Piefed devs, maybe they might have a better idea how to integrate this into their on-boarding process.
PieFed.world doesn't have it set up but on PieFed.social the onboarding process involves choosing from a list of topics (bundles of communities maintained by the admins) and new people get auto subscribed to communities within those topics.
I'll check your list to see whether there are some gaming comms I could add to the gaming topic, but I expect we have this covered.
The guide is for Piefed.social (I have an account there two).
I recommend avoiding the on-boarding and directly selecting the proposed gaming communities via links.
I will post in piefed_meta in the coming days. Maybe I can come up with a draft/mockup.
I can't code, but I do have significant experience in dashboards and associated business logic (PowerBI, tablaeau, Looker Studio).
Feel free to submit a post for an open discussion in !piefed_meta@piefed.social the devs check this community regularly
I see it as a backup so that you can post it again ~~when~~ if reddit deletes your post.
I personally am going to copy it somewhere else so that I can share it with those who ask in case the link goes down somehow.
