Social media opened our eyes to the struggles facing other Americans. Social media companies then realized that clickbait was one of the most profitable methods of media consumption.
The genie is out of the bottle. The only way to get it back in is to go all autocratic and control what most of the public’s eyes and ears are exposed to again. That, or to make the personal choice to severely limit your own exposure to it. Face the music in public and realize most of us can harmonize quite well.
But don’t take it from me. I’m just another mouthpiece on the Internet.
