This is pretty standard hypocrisy tbh, they're always like this. A dem/left person does something bad? Oh that's the worst thing ever how could they. A republican does something bad? It was good actually.
Conservatives are absolute morons but you do have to give them some credit, they at least understand they are stronger united. Liberals will never unite and thats partly how we are in this mess.
Liberals are perfectly united against the actual anti-capitalist left.
I think part of the problem is liberals acting like there is a "we" with the left when they left-bash at every opportunity.
