Everything changes with time. I know you are trying to harken back to the conservatives of old, but they don't exist in the Republican party anymore.

I grew up having a modicum of respect for them that went out the windows after 9/11. I saw them sell our country out and commit war against innocents purely for profit.

They are no longer fiscally conservative, they are no longer morally conservative, they no longer support the rule of law, the constitution, or the golden rule. They are bereft of all these qualities now.

Are there a few Republicans that don't believe what their party is doing is right? Sure. This doesn't mean anything except that they are enablers now.
