How does your quote not apply to school shootings?
Your statement was that school shootings were a necessary evil of having gun rights. He stated that there will be gun deaths if citizens are armed. He wasn't speaking specifically about school shooting or that they are a 'necessary evil' which is what you stated. A narrow but important distinction.
Just for the record I dont agree with the US stance on guns and I think gun violence is abhorrent, so I dont agree with Kirk's views, Im just trying to be accurate as this guy gets misquoted A LOT.
You're right. He wasn't ONLY justifying school shootings. Just all shootings, which happen to cover school shootings.
He was justifying citizens being armed and that the shootings are an unfortunate side effect.
But whatever, I think an armed citizenry gives a country exactly what the US has - ridiculously high deaths by guns. Just irrational.
Then we should follow his lead in how we think of this.
Kirk's neck hole is just an unfortunate side effect. Nothing to get bent out of shape over.
