Government hospitals over here are trash unless it is some top tier one in a Tier 1 city like AIMS in Delhi. The infrastructure is lacking in most if not all tier 2 and below cities, towns and villages. They are understaffed and overburdened with patients. Hygiene practices in these hospitals are questionable at best. Corruption is rampant as well.
Additionally, the government is promoting alternative medicinal practices like Ayurveda and Homeopathy by even allowing the practitioners to prescribe Modern Evidence Based Medicines and dedicating a special section in hospitals for these alternatives.
Anyone who has the financial capability will not visit a govt hospital in this country.
