My point is politicians aren't, not many any way.
Because the fact is that politicians are influenced more by economics than they are electoral pressures.
Once you become a politician you have a lot (more) of influential, rich friends to shower you and your family with nice things along with their thoughts on how the world should be.
This is a reflection of their primary goal: to reinforce the predominant economic system. To stand on principle or reflect the will of their broader constituents is secondary. Sometimes the two goals intersect, of course.
Exactly. I've had enough of this corruption. Its probably always been the same though, and it always will be.
