Given the heritage of the building matetials, I'm shocked they aren't at least being carefully salvaged and reused. The wrecking ball / demolition approach is an apt metaphor for Trump as President in general.
he wants a tacky , gaudy palace like putins, gold plating everywhere, diamonds encrusted chandeliers, and giant vases everywhere.
It's probably intentional. Another petty show of power.
One day, maybe it'll be turned into a food pantry or international aid hq. It would be so gratifying to deny the legacy his narcissistic ass is trying to steal.
